THRILLS IN THE HILLS RETURNS TO DOLLYWOOD SEPTEMBER 26-27

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (Monday, August 11, 2025) - The natural beauty of autumn in the Great Smoky Mountains combined with the excitement of Dollywood’s Harvest Festival presented by Humana and the opportunity to experience award-winning rides in the cool mountain air are all great reasons to visit Tripadvisor’s #1 theme park. On Friday-Saturday, Sept. 26-27, there’s even more fall fun when the Thrills in the Hills event returns with an illuminating experience of thrills and chills that’s also a great deal for all Dollywood enthusiasts.

 

A special Thrills in the Hills package for the two days includes park tickets for Friday evening and Saturday, preferred parking, extended evening ride time on both days, early ride time on Saturday, a goody bag full of treats, tasty snacks and a Saturday lunch to keep participants fueled up for all the fun.

 

With National Roller Coaster Day fast approaching on August 16, now is a great time to celebrate by purchasing tickets for the next month’s event. Tickets are now on sale at https://www.dollywood.com/themepark/festivals/thrillsinthehills/ with special pricing for Dollywood Season Passholders. To guarantee requested t-shirt size, participants should register no later than August 31. Registrations from Sept. 1-18 still include an event t-shirt but specific t-shirt size cannot be guaranteed.

 

Thrills in the Hills takes place during Dollywood’s Harvest Festival presented by Humana (Sept. 12- Oct. 27) which celebrates the beauty of fall in the Smokies. Great Pumpkin LumiNights, previously named the best theme park harvest event in the world, features elaborate displays that are fun for every member of the family. A showcase of spectacular artists takes to the stage this fall, including Triumphant Quartet (Sept. 15-19), Keith Anderson (Sept. 20-21), The Grascals (Sept. 22-24), Lee Roy Parnell (Sept. 28), Sidewalk Prophets (Sept. 29- Oct. 3), Rhonda Vincent & The Rage (Oct. 5-7; Oct. 13-14), Emily Ann Roberts (Oct. 8-12) and Dailey & Vincent (Oct. 15-19). Creative culinary items, accomplished artisans and fall fun make this a picture-perfect time to enjoy Dollywood.

 

The industry’s Best Theme Park Christmas event—Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas presented by Humana (Nov. 1- Jan. 4, 2026)—concludes the park’s 2025 season with six million lights, festive holiday shows and the warm Christmas atmosphere guests have come to expect during this joyous time of year.
